I am a late-20-something dreamer with a serious case of wanderlust. In the fall of 2013 I finally realized my dream of living abroad: my husband started a 2-year master’s program at the University of Edinburgh and the two of us packed up our house, sold our cars, quit our jobs, and moved with our two dogs across the Atlantic to historic, utterly charming Edinburgh, Scotland.
We spent our first year abroad traveling around, getting to know Edinburgh and Scotland, studying (on the hubby’s end) and enjoying our new adventure. Our second year in Edinburgh saw both of us busier than ever as I headed back to school in pursuit of an MBA, but we loved every minute of it. We traveled as much as possible and soaked in every last bit of the experience. Fast-forward to the present and we’re back in the States, figuring out this post-grad school life and desperately planning our next escape abroad.
About the Blog
Welcome to my blog!
I wanted to have a place where our family and friends could easily follow our new lives abroad and keep in touch, while giving myself a place to record our adventures. It’s mostly full of accounts of our travels, but there are some real world updates thrown in there as well.
Welcome to our new lives. We’re excited!
